Where is the wedding ceremony?
We are hosting both our ceremony and reception at SomeTheme Events in the heart of downtown Milton, GA. The venue is in the Market District at Crabapple, in building 3100. You may access via elevator or stairs. Our ceremony will be held on the rooftop, cocktail hour at JBec Studios on the 2nd floor and reception in the ballroom on the 3rd floor.
What is the attire?
Be fabulous! We would use the following words to describe our wedding vibe: modern, sophisticated, grown & sexy, elevated, sleek. This mostly aligns with “semi-formal” – less formal than black-tie but more formal than casual – polished, upscale and chic.
Other considerations: A portion of the ceremony will be outside. We will be utilizing different spaces within the building so plan for very short walks to/from the elevator.
Please feel free to bring a pair of sneakers to pair with your “look” for comfort during the reception.
What is the event timeline?
We are planning for a prompt start of the wedding ceremony at 5 pm on the rooftop of SomeTheme Events. Cocktail hour will be held at JBec Studio (2nd floor) from 5:30-6:30, and the reception will take place in the SomeTheme Events ballroom on the 3rd floor from 6:30-10:00. Dinner, cocktails and dancing will be available.
For those who might be up for a nightcap and/or light bite, we are planning for an informal gathering after the reception. Check back for details!
What time should I arrive?
Our Coordinator promises a prompt start to our ceremony which is scheduled to begin at 5:00pm. Atlanta area traffic can be unpredictable! Plan to arrive early enough to allow sufficient time to park, locate the venue and locate a seat. We suggest 4:30pm. If you find yourself early and need to kill time, there are restaurants and a Starbucks available in the same plaza as the venue.
Can I bring a guest? Are children permitted?
We are planning for an intimate gathering of friends and family. As such, we have limitations on the number of guests that we can accommodate. Further, we’ve decided to make our wedding an adults-only celebration to ensure the experience feels special for everyone attending. Thank you for understanding.
Where should I sit?
For our wedding ceremony, we are aligned with “choose a seat, not a side – we’re all family once the knot is tied.” Please feel free sit in any available seat for the ceremony. Instructions will be available onsite for reception seating.
Where do we park?
There are a few options available to you. There is parking in the basement level of building 3100. Additionally, there are spaces behind the building and two lots available (one is gravel and one is graded).
Where should I stay?
Should you choose to stay near the venue, we have secured a block of rooms at Even Hotel. The hotel is right across from the Avalon and a short drive to the wedding venue. Check out the travel section of the website for more details.
